This page will help you install the web extensions shared with you. By following these simple steps, you’ll be able to add them to your browser and test them out. These instructions work well on Chrome and Opera browsers and should also work on other popular browsers such as Firefox and Edge.

After signing-up (https://self-regulate.online/signup) and receiving the zip file containing three extensions, follow these steps:

1. Unzip the File

  • Extract the Contents:

      • Right-click on the zip file and select Extract All.
      • Choose a destination folder and click Extract.
    • Mac:
      • Double-click the zip file to automatically extract its contents.
      • The extracted folders will appear in the same directory as the zip file.

2. Access the Extensions Page in Your Browser

Using the Address Bar:

  1. Open Your Browser and Navigate to the Extensions Page:

    • Chrome: Type chrome://extensions into the address bar.
    • Opera: Type opera://extensions into the address bar.
    • Firefox: Type about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox into the address bar.

3. Enable Developer Mode

    • Enabling Developer Mode allows you to load extensions that aren’t available in the browser's official store.

4. Load the Extension Folder

    • This button appears only after Developer Mode is enabled.
  2. Select the Extension Folder:

    • A file dialog window will open.

    • Select the desired extension folder and click Open.
  3. Repeat for All Extensions:

    • You should end up having the StoryCurator , LearnerEye and YouTube Annotators extensions. This is how the Extensions page should look with these installed extensions. You may also find some default extensions preloaded

5. Verify the Installation

  • Check the Extensions List:

    • Ensure that each extension appears in the list on the Extensions page.
  • Test the Extensions:

    • Click on the extension icons in the browser toolbar to verify they are functioning correctly.
